December 5th Brunch @ Dunn's - End of Session/Holiday Party.

Hello OCM swimmers,

Every year we have a end of session/holiday party.

This year we will be going out for brunch right after our Sunday swim on December 5th.

We will be going to Dunn's (355 Dalhousie St.) you will be able to order breakfast and lunch. The reservation is for 11:30am, under the Name Ottawa Centre Masters. Please RSVP with us at ottawacentremasters@yahoo.ca.

Also please remember that the deadline for early registration to the Technosport Short Course Sprint Meet in November 24th, for the Saturday December 4th meet. There are about 6 OCM swimmers going - if you're interested please email me for details! (you can always register on deck the day of - so it's never too late)

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

1. How big is the pool?

Champagne Pool is a 25 yard pool.

2. Are there any requirements to join?

Generally speaking, Masters Swim Clubs are for people with some swimming skill. You must be 18 years of age or older and we ask that you be able to swim 100 meters without stopping, and be able to swim 1km in about 40 minutes. We do all four strokes, and expect you to learn and practice each stroke with the club (unless otherwise unable due to injury).

3. Will I get coaching?

Yes, we have dedicated certified coaches that will help you as much or as little as you want. There is a coaches' feed back form, which we ask you to fill in on your first swim, so our coaches know exactly what you are looking for.

4. What are your members like?

We have a wide variety of swimmers. Former competitive swimmers, triathletes, and people just looking for a good workout in a fun environment. There is a place for everyone with OCM.

5. Does your club compete?

Yes, we do have some members that enjoy competition, and we encourage our members to compete. It is not however, mandatory.
